How they relate ​

Shmastra is the template a developer runs locally with npx create-mastra. It turns Mastra Studio's chat into a vibe-coding surface: type what you want in plain English, and Shmastra generates agents, workflows, channels, and web apps for you.

Shmastra Cloud is a multi-tenant host for Shmastra. It wraps the same template with WorkOS single sign-on, per-user E2B sandboxes, a virtual-key AI gateway, and an admin Manage UI for provisioning, updates, and observability. One engineer deploys it; everyone else just opens a browser.

If you're just getting started, follow the Shmastra path first — you can always move to Cloud once you want to share your agents with your team.
